Yeah, I'm seriously considering doing this. It sounds a bit gimmicky. But this may be worth it.

Entry level cheap ones are 10k RPM.

I'd recommend these over SSDs any day, Faster, more reliable, and cheaper. Normal Sata drives aren't bad though.
