*solved*Vanishing Vehicles

**PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED**

This has happened to Ghost, and myself. The Same Ural, separate times, disappeared when we were in the inventory. According to Ghost, this has happened to his UAZ and a HUMVEE. The Ural re spawned after the restart but the UAZ and the HUMVEE hasnt..

yea its a problem with 1.7

i havn;t had time to really check into much, but i will 2night/2tmrrw

it deff. happens, thankfully it does not happen that often.

i will check and see what we can do to fix it.....or atleast contain it.

1.7 totally changed how the game server communicates with the database server.

in my opinion it did not need changed, we never had too many database problems. but 1.7 has brought on some issues with vehicle/gear saving. and its all because of the holes in the structure. if you add in 1 little bit of desync.......too many things get lost in translation.

1 thing will help, make sure the vehicles are not too close to each other.

1.7 has some really weird stuff about spawning vehicles too close to other objects. (i want to remove this.....cuz i like spawning helis on rooftops   )

yea i really like spawning them on tht roof.....and some others.  and 1.7 killed all my fun.

but i know i can do something.  if the vehicles still do that after you separate them a little,  let me know.

okay thanks! ill let you know if anything else happens. I dont think ghost is happy with loosing a ural, uaz, and humvee full of loot, but shit happens.. lol

The problem i have had is vehicles disappearing while accessing the vehicle a long with all your gear. As i have had 3 of them disappear, a VS3 Ural, a Hummer, and a Camo UAZ. though once in a while they might reappear after a Server restart mine haven't. the reappearance was with another player who was accessing the gear or storage.

The Ural reappeared with all the gear after a server restart and then disappeared again later. only to reappear after server restart. we removed all the gear from it. and it stopped. Making me think that it's a problem with some sort of loot. ( I was putting Cokes in the Ural when it disappeared on me )

The hummer disappeared when I got out of it for a server restart and the UAZ during that same restart.

There was a good 8 ft between them, far enough that it should not be a hit box problem, I'm really thinking myself this has to be with some sort of loot causing the problem, probably with this new patch. I had just added the M23 Camo Desert rifle to the gear on the Ural and then a coke and it disappeared. so at least a place to start looking anyway as to what the problem is.

had much the same gear on the other 2 vehicles.

I'm 99.99% certain I just found out what was causing this.

Not going to bore you guys with the details (unless ya wanna be bored ), but please let me know if it happens again.



*of course there is always the chance of ppl raiding camps and finding your vehicles. but I'm talking about what Ghost reported. Which would be vehicles randomally dissappaering and not coming back after restarts.

 

i havnt been on in a while, but i think the problem was with them being to close together. But thanks for the fix skeet! BEST ADMIN EVER
