24/7 Day Light?

Was wondering what your thoughts were about making the server 24/7 day time. Since you give us NVG at spawn we can see anyhow, and a lot of players only play 24/7 day time servers, so this would bring in more players to the server.

I love the server as it is now, i just wish it was more populated!

Keep night time, remove NVG that are on peeps. Id prefer that way tbh. Removing night time would be bad. D:

I like the night cycle as well, but with everyone having NVG night serves no real purpose other than to easily avoid zeds, also, if you took all the NVG's away, that would make players leave

What I meant was to remove NVG from inventories, they would still be ingame though.

I honestly would like a night time server without the free NVGs, but without the NVGs this would discourage new or players not into the sort of thing.

See, now I would accept that as a possibility if you could see your gun in front of your face while it was night time... I mean I'm all for realism, but my eyes adjust much better than the game assumes

So it would be nice to try out, but only on a full moon, with a chance to find nvg's pretty high

I think full moon is a really good idea, remove NVG from inventories but keep them at the same as normal spawn rate. NVG needs to be something to be worked for and a reason to move off the south coast. As of now people are too comfortable running around at night with NVG's on, there is no real sense of danger, no immersion. Of coarse this is only my opinion, but i think something needs to be done in light (no pun intended) of the subject.

Landing at Crash site is getting old mate, i agreez.

I just hate how dark it is when it's in the "dark", full moon looks okay because it's dark like a normal night, not like you got shut into a coffin.

Im still thinking NVG needs to go, it actually makes players more visible then they are during the day time which makes sneaking around at night time almost impossible as you can be seen from 800m+ like a burning candle.

so you think i should take everyones nvg?

this is the last thing I thought players would dislike.

i personally hate trying to play in the dark, but i will make a poll and allow you guys to vote. we will see how the voting goes.

While I know most people don't like playing in the pitch dark, some sort of compromise needs to be found. Dave is right, NVGs in this game allows you to see things at night that you wouldn't be able to during the day. Most people so far I have ran into wonder how I see them even when they "hide" behind or in trees, but they literally pop out of the background.

That plus you're a uber uber leet hax0r aimbot. But in all seriousness, last night was an example, we found Geekin using NVG and driving around the area and found him clear as day.

I would say keep real time day/night cycle and remove nag from spawn but if possible up the spawn % for nvg. I would like having to search for them but having an actual chance to find some.

This is a very hot topic right now. I need to address it, I'm just not sure what to do yet. Let me do some thinking on this guys.

Please keep posting suggestions, and any ideas on howto remedy this situation.

24/7 day time will draw in more players, with NVG all night really does it make zombies useless. I love this server but i think NVG as well as nameplates need to go, most people only play on servers with nameplates off because nameplates remove all stealth aspects of the game as well as make Ghillie suits useless.

I will agree with your thoughts on nameplates, I will remove them tonight when I get home. We will see how that works. Alot of the pvp'ers should like this. It will require a restart, so maybe we will go ahead and start the password protection too.

There are so many variables with the 24/7 daylight - nightvision deal. I personally never liked 24/7 day, I also never liked trying to play in total darkness (why I put nvg in starting loadout). This was all done when server started. At this point its not always about what I personally prefer.........its about what you guys like. So I'll either let everyone vote on some options, or I'll come up with something diffrent to try.
