So after adam asked about more planes, I gave him the same generic reply I've been giving for months. But It got me to start thinking more about it.

This is still very early, still need to do 1 final test.

But so far so good, I am still limited on vehicles. Because the actual dayz_code is read only, any changes are simply overwritten upon mission file download.

Buuuuuuuuuuut.......with some serverside scripts, I can manage these additions to our vehicle list.

HOWEVER, if this works.... THESE 3 VEHICLES ARE GOING TO BE EXTREMELY RARE!!!! THEY WILL NOT SPAWN ALL THE TIME, AND WILL ONLY BE 1 OF EACH.

We have alot of vehicles at all times, so these will be kept VERY RARE and SPECIAL

Testing has been completed........and all of these are good to go

Only issue, when you load into the server. You will get a arma 2 error. It will say "you cannot play/edit this mission.....blah blah blah"

Just click okay and proceed to load in. This will always be there, as long as these types of vehicles are on the map.
Basically what I was able to do is add vehicles that are banned in the dayz_code.......without needing another mod upon loading arma (rmod)

So I'm very proud of this, enjoy the new stuff......this weekend I'm going to see what else I can manage.

These Spawn in only sometimes by skeeter was supposed to be once a week or so but Seananigger had to cry about it like he does for every single change on the server (he's a purist bandit if there is such a thing),But in this case he's rite ..... they are really overpowered vehicles to be on the server all the time ...

I had the Venom for about 6 hours with the radar it has i found 30 bases and wrote down all the locations
if it was anyone else they woulda destroyed All of those bases , I destroyed the ones I thought was MSS's at the time and Black Bandit's I think


Bump this thread to the top !!! It would be nice to have a Wasteland Weekend on our Server Skeeter spawn in a few of these and some AA-Gun Jeeps for shits and giggles maybe some Stationary Sam-Sites for a few hours and let us have a mini Armageddon

would be total chaos. I'm always in search of new events, and since I've been busy lately......I like the ones that are easy to set up.

This would be easy, I would just litter the map with this stuff........and let the games begin.

The UH1Y is a flying tank seriously takes hundreds of rounds to damage and I've seen them fly with all red parts, and with the manual fire option the pilot can use the side guns each has 2000 rds apiece keep in mind taht these rounds are all one hit kills on soft targets such as cars and people. That thing has no place in DayZ.

But for the event that's been suggested, its perfect.

I'll probablly run out of time 2night, but tomorrow I will start a thread in the events section that will outline this insane event.

**Unless someone else wants to start on it, I think we are on same page of the details. Its basically just chaos, everyone on their own to find some insane war machine......and then proceed to wreak havoc.

I'm not sure how many of you guys actively play arma 2 but if we do a vehicle event please don't add strelas stingers iglas or javalins in they completely ruin the game because they one shot helis and javalin one shots everything. Another thing is that the DayZ vehicles have their counter measures disabled (except for a certain few that still have flares) so adding in man portable AA/AT would ruin the fun TOW turrets would be fine as would AA jeeps/tanks just no lock on missiles.

Buzz Killington over here doesnt want lock on missiles , i mentioned those items to make it fair not everyone has a coordinated crew and can spread out and find all the vehicles upon restart i think you would think twice before going over a city in case of that lone wolf with a javelin

Also, since it would be an event, I think there should be some kind of penalty for spawn camping for long periods of time, it obviously wouldn't be hard to do with that heli.

Javalins require a team of atleast two a spotter/ammo holder and an actual operator. Generally not an issue in cities the fact that their lock on range is 2km and are capable of IDF is an issue especially since there are no armor elements in DayZ.
