Limit road blocks

Post  Diggygoglol on Mon Mar 25, 2013 7:24 pm

Im not sure if this is just me, but the amount of road blocks is a little ridiculous. There are too many and when some dont render right away and make you crash into them, gets very discouraging.

Just consider it.

thanks! Smile

As this is the zombie apocalypse and an institution such as the DMV is hardly in existence anymore, hence there is no way to hand out driver's licenses or police the roadways, I'd suggest that if you're unable to operate a motor vehicle in DayZ without wrecking it then you might want to just abstain from driving or flying in the first place.

****This is only my opinion, I just wanted to explain my side of this suggestion Very Happy I'm grateful for everyone's suggestions. I hope you guys never stop taking the time to express your ideas. I'm thankful for all the interest.****

I would be willing to add some ramps in various spots. Then you guys could ramp certain roadblocks.

The problem with removing roadblocks is:

-cant pick and choose what is removed, can only remove everything (which is same as hitting the "easy" button). would be okay if I could take some of the stuff out, but I cannot, its all or nothing.

-when removing roadblocks, other things will be removed as well. when the mod was created they added alot of stuff that was not in arma 2's chernarus

-things like the balota deerstands, some of the random deerstands, certain military loot spawns, and other loot spawns would be lost with the roadblocks.

-the roadblocks are there to add a challenge when trying to escape firefights, racing back to your dead body, etc etc

**If I didnt have so many repaired/refueled vehicles on the map, It would be a totally different story.

**Only way this change would work, would be to stop adding vehicles repaired and refueled. If people had to work harder to repair a car........then no roadblocks would be a equal trade. Fully repaired cars all over the place + no roadblocks = no challenge

I kind of feel like I just sat down and totally stomped on everyone's suggestions. Neutral
